FAQ

Questions, answered.

What counts as an agent run?

One task from start to settle: the agent reads the workspace, makes its patch, and reports back. Interrupting and steering a run does not start a new one.

Can I use Optamus with my existing tools?

Yes. The desktop app and CLI work with any Git host and any editor. Integrations for GitHub and GitLab ship in the box; the API covers everything else.

Do you train on my code?

No. Your code is used to run the agent and nothing else. Team and Enterprise plans can pin retention to zero — runs are deleted after settle.

What happens when I hit the run limit on Free?

Runs pause until the next month or until you upgrade. Nothing is deleted, and in-flight runs are allowed to settle.

Can I switch plans or cancel?

Any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period. No exit fees.

Is there a self-hosted or VPC option?

Enterprise deployments can run inside your own network, with the control plane in your VPC. Talk to sales for the reference architecture.

How does per-seat billing work on Team?

Seats are allocated monthly and can be moved between members at any time. Minimum three seats; add or remove seats as the team changes.

Do you offer discounts for startups, education, or open source?

Yes — annual prepay discounts, startup credits, and free licenses for maintainers of popular open-source projects. Email support with a link to your work.
